Bitlock usine ???

Bonjour

Merci

    Hello

On several occasions, after changing the motherboard on a Dell laptop (XPS, Latitude ...), I noticed that when I started up, the system asked me for the Bitlockage key. All PCs are in W10 Pro.
A priori, the disk is not bitlocked. In any case no user intervention was made. But TPM is enabled in BIOS by default.
By default, Dell bitlock disks? A right click on an XPS at home tells me no bitlocking activated but I cannot currently validate or invalidate.

    Thank you

    No, they do not.

I think what you are seeing is SecureBoot.

When swapping motherboard, you often have to temporarily disable SecureBoot to allow booting. Then, in the BIOS ... there is often an option to "Restore Default Factory Keys" .

Inside Windows-10, msinfo32 shows the true status of SecureBoot.

You can also "DiskPart clean" the HDD/SSD (remove all partitions) and clean-install Windows-10 from scratch.

Another thing it could be is an issue with new Windows-10 key (burned into motherboard's BIOS) or the fact that it is missing on this new motherboard.
