SupportAssist bios 1.4.0 update fail xps 7590

So the last time when SupportAssist has updated bios on my laptop it had resulted in a bricked device. Today technician had replaced the motherboard. SupportAssist still says I had to update bios. But it does not update. So how should I act now? Ignore any updates from SupportAssist? Remove it from my laptop? Try to update bios manually? I don't want to get a new motherboard replacement. Brand new laptop got scratches on the surface after the visit of technician

I got the same issue. Have you had any success?

I figured it out. It can be updated in the Dell Update app.

Installed this update using the Dell Update. No problem there, but after this update I was not able to start a guest Windows 10 OS in VirtualBox. The Windows10 boot got stuck at the Windows logo.

The fix for this problem was to downgrade the BIOS to an earlier version: 1.3.3
