System modular bay's device not identified. Please help!!!

I have a Dell Inspiron 5160. I bought it two days ago and it was working perfectly until I installed new video driver for the 32MB DDR XGI Volari XP5 AGP 4X Graphics.

Mi BIOS revision is A07.

The driver installation software asked me if I wanted to reboot the system. I answered, yes.

After that, I could never get to Windows again :(

I have an ugly error that says:

"The device in the system modular bay cannot be idetified. It may not be completely inserted or may have some other problem."

I can't even enter in the SETUP Program!!!!!

I am desperate.

Please help. What can I do to bring my Notebook back!!!

Hello PabloJavierPY

Welcome to the Dell Community Forum,

Reseat your Optical Drive and test to see If this resolves your error message.

Thanks,

Hi!

First of all, thanks for helping.

I tried reseating. Same error. Tried the DVD/CDRW drive in other Dell Inspiron Notebook and it works :'(
Tried other DVD/CDRW drive in my Notebook and still get the error :'(

That means that my Notebook might be having serious board problems?

Is there a utility I can use to check the motherboard or something?

Thanks in advance.

He meant to reseat all drive devices, as one may share the IDE bus with the modular bay.  Dell Diagnostics would check all functions of the motherboard.
