monitor reset
What does "perform monitor reset" mean? How do you do it? Especially on a monitor which has no power; the light is not on. Does the rectangular slot on the back of the monitor with the padlock symbot beside it, have anything to do with performing a monitor reset?

Tell us about your monitor....We are not mind readers here on this forum..:smileyvery-happy: Is it a LCD or CRT and what model is it. A reset button is normally located in the front of the monitor and can be pressed in to reset to the factory settings. Also tell us about your system as well, ie: Dim 2400 or Dim 4700, etc. Make sure all the cables and power cord are connected firmly, as well as the video card. Can you connect another monitor to the system to see if it works ? If so, than maybe the monitor is just bad. If the other monitor does not work, something in the system is defective. Try another wall socket just for the heck of it. Get back to us as soon as possible...Good luck

Check this out and look for the reset or auto adjust button information from here...Also, did you install the monitor driver, which should also have the monitor guide with it as did mine ?17 inch WUXGA ( 1920x1200 )
