NIC Failure on 8300 during boot
Hello, within the BIOS messages I am getting a quick show of the message "NIC failure". I don't use the NIC but am still concerned about how to fix this problem. I am at BIOS A02 if that helps.

Does the network interface card (NIC) show up in the device manager?

Chris,
under Network adapters there is an entry for "Intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network Connection - Packet Scheduler Miniport"
Is this what you are looking for?
