Lost Control Panel and Administrator rights Windows XP

Virus software detected Trojan.KillAV virus and supposedly deleted it. I have lost my Control Panel and also keep getting error msgs saying that I am denied access and I need to contact the system adminisrator (which I am). Any ideas on how to get the control panel back?

hi

I had the same problems, but not with a virus or trojan.

I just suppressed some HKEYs by error

I think that HKEYs -USER are responsible, but I dont know wich (my lost HKEYs)

Hoping that this helps

Why do you want to use ComboFix?

Combofix should NEVER be run unless requested by your forum helper.

As you run ComboFix the Disclaimer is displayed:

It states that Combofix should not be run in an unsupervised environment. That means that someone trained in its use needs to be working with you.

If you are having a malware problem, please post on the Malware Removal forum. Do not run ComboFix unless you are asked to do so.
