Inspiron E1705 Wont Power On/ Blinking green Power Light

My computer was on the other night and when I woke up it was turned off.  When I tried to turn it on the power light would flash green several times and stop.  Nothing happens, no power up.  I tried Holding down the power button and all I get is several blinking green power light and thats it.  Is it possible that the internal power unit overheated?  Motherboard went bad?  I have not warranty so would it be worth a repair?

Same issue here.  I have a 3yr old Insp 5160.  Last time I was using it I got a msg saying to save whatever I was working on and plug in to recharge battery soon.  Unit was plugged in at the time.  Now I cannot charge the battery, and get nothing but blinking power and battery lights.  No boot.  Don't know for sure but looks like the mainboard took a big one.  I would like to know if it's possible to purchase a mainboard.  Power supply is ok.

Sounds like your laptops are not receiving power through the adaptor for whatever reason.  See if a replacement adaptor solves the problem.  Otherwise, it may be something wrong with the motherboard of the laptop.
