enabling touchpad scrolling in latitude d630

Hi,

Recently I asked our IT guy to disable some of the unnecessary processes that were running on my Latitude D630. Apparently he disabled the process that allows the scrolling on the right side of the touchpad. I have no idea how to enable it, can anyone help me out?

Thanks,

N.

open "RUN" and enter msconfig.

now click on startup tab and look for something that say's "Synaptics touchpad", if the box beside it is uncheck, then put a check on it and click apply and close it. then restart the system.  if it's not under startup tab then look for it under services.

if none of this works then reinstall the touchpad driver from the support.dell.com or use the cd (Drivers and utility disc) that came with your system.
