RAID Question

I should be recieving (fingers crossed) my 730 in the nexts coupla weeks.

I happen to have two 7200 rpm 80GB harddrives.  I ordered the 730 with a single 500GB hardrive.

What i would like to do is leave the 500GB drive intact with the default dell image...then add my two 80 gig drives as RAID 0, and install my games there.

I guess my question is, by enabling RAID...do i have to wipe the 500GB drive and start with a fresh install?  Or is it possible to enable raid just on the disks i what to configure for raid 0?

Thanks!

You enable RAID within the Nvidia RAID BIOS that is reached by holding Ctrl and tapping the N key as the system initially starts up. If you don't see your two 80GB drives listed, you need to check the sata and power connections on both. You can also check the Dell BIOS (tap F2 on startup) to see if the drives are detected. You will be creating a Stripe array (RAID 0 performance) not a mirror. Leave the rest of the settings at default unless you want to name the Array something different.

To answer your question: yes, you can install your raid separate.
