P703W Printer - Can't configure wireless - what's going on?!

I've got a new Studio 17 connected to my wireless network no problem. I just unpacked my new P703W printer - which looks great and prints great - but I can't get it to connect to my wireless network to save my life. It's within about 15 feet of the router. All of the information I have for the wireless connection is correct...but it won't connect!

Any ideas?! :-(

Hi Rick,

Well that'd be great, but I can't seem to get onto the page for my router. I have a linksys-G router and I've been to the linksys IP address to try to reset my settings, but I can't for the life of me get it to open. I use what I THINK the password is (all I know is admin admin) but it won't let me in. Is there any way to find out what my settings are? I wasn't the one who set up my network, but I know he didn't assign passwords to anything. It's very odd. :-(

Not sure what to do without getting the info I need to/from the router...

Natalie,

First, to get to the login page, try this.

Start, run or hit the Windows Key and the R key at the same time. Type

CMD

Hit enter. Now type

ipconfig /all     (space between the g and / )

hit enter. Look for the default gateway. Enter this number in the address bar of your browser(Might look something like 192.168.1.1)

Username=admin

password= admin or leave it blank, unless you changed the password.

If you installed Linksys EasyLink Advisor, then you can open this program up. after it loads, click on the support tab and then wait. It will give you the password(s) you need. Then go to Linksys website (left column, enter model number in search box)and update the firmware for the wireless router. Model number needeed.

Broadcast SSID(You may want to change this to make it easier to connect)

Use WPA-PSK(TKIP) Security. Most wireless devices work best with this type of security.

Mixed b and g mode(n if available)

Use channels 1, 6 or 11. Most devices work better on these channels.

Save and exit. Power everything off for 30 seconds. Power everything back on, wait 30 seconds, now try to connect.

Now setup the printer.
