XPS 1530 boots to Black Screen

I have a XPS 1530 I bought in July that has all of the top products in it at the time. I have however recieved a black screen when I try to boot the laptop. I see nothing. I sent the laptop in to be fixed by Dell at the sent me back my laptop where the screen worked, but then 1 wekek later. I turn on the laptop and get the same black screen. My remote will also no longer fit into my laptop after Dell "worked" on it.

Is their something wrong with the nVidia GPU? It seems to be glowing black, so it isn't an LCD problem.

I heard 1530 had problems with their GPU, why can't Dell just fix this?

It seems by the time they get around to fixing it my Warranty will be up and they won't have to worry anymore which is really low of them!

Mine did the same thing about 2 months old.  I notified Dell and they sent a tech out to replace the motherboard thinking that the video card had failed.  After motherboard replacement, same thing.  Tech was stumped, took it back apart and checked everything and all connections. He took apart the LED screen and checked for loose conections there.  Nothing.  I sent it off to Dell repair and they sent it back 3 days later.  On the sheet that was included they replaced the inverter and now it works great!!  You might want to look in that direction.  Hope this helps.
