Question About Power Supply for XPS 400

Hello I bought a XPS 400 like two or three years ago I think and I was going to replace my Power supply to a non dell one. I have been reading up on the internet about this and I was wondering If my computer had a proprietary motherboard that only accepts dell power supplies.

The XPS 400 motherboard has proprietary features, but the power supply does not.

You can use most standard ATX power supplies with either, a 24-pin or 20+4-pin main motherboard power connector and with a minimum of 2-SATA power connectors.

As the XPS 400 has an open back panel, a power supply with or without the on/off switch can be used.

You should be able to buy a compatible power supply, from most local, or online computer stores.
