Invalid configuration information

I had a BIOS password on my Dell D620 and I decided to disconnect the battery to reset my computer.
I left it un-plugged for about 30 minutes and now when I boot up it says
"Invalid configuration information - please run SETUP program"
BUT does not give me the option to run F1 or F2.
I cannot run set-up
What do I need to do to fix this?

Thanks

You cannot clear a BIOS password by removing the battery on a Dell Notebook. If you do not remember the password you will need a "Master Password" from Dell which they will give you after proof of ownership is verified.

Did you try pressing F2 anyway?
