Dell Inspiron B130 Mother Board installed.....cant install BIOS CD

After installing a new motherboard, used the BIOS CD, tapped on F2 and F12, only

get blinking cursor top right.

What are we doing wrong ?

Curious if anyone knows how to load up a BIOS on a new B130 mother board ?

THank you,

After the MOBO replacement you should be able to load the OS,then install the wireless driver(along with the other drivers needed). Then go to dell driver download page, download the BIOS and save it to the desktop, then double click on the desktop (where BIOS is saved)and it will install from there.Make sure you have fully charged battery and power adapter plugged in.Do not interupt the BIOS flash or it will render your laptop a giant paperweight. The safest way is to install the DOS flash but dell does not have the DOS version install for the B130 on there site.

The blinking cursor might be the OS is not installed?...Did you load the OS yet?....

NO it's not under warranty.

The system board went out on 13th month. Bought NEW one from Ebay, it came with BIOS CD.

Went thru Dell's 24/7 tech support, they charged me $49.xx to talk to them. Get a tech and he says

"sorry" cant help. Gentleman from INdia couldnt fix it, these chargeable tech supports ought to be in US !

UPDATE: I said last reply TOP RIGHT BLINKING CURSOR should have said TOP LEFT BLINKING CURSOR

Blinking underscore + inability to get into BIOS setup means the replacement board is faulty.
