Dell Dimension 9100 Freezes, Loud buzzing noise from unit

The computer stops working and emits a loud buzzing from the CPU that seems to be some sort of alarm.  After hard boot, works for a few minutes and does the same thing again.  Now it will not even turn on.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi enloealum, Have you tried booting up, when you see the dell splash screen, then pressing F12, then running dell diagnostic to see what the problem is.

Thanks for the suggestion.  Turns out when I press F12 to boot to the utility partition it just goes straight to the main boot menu.  I am assuming that means the utility partition was not originally loaded or there is some other problem.  Not sure if the utility is on the CDs that came with it originally.  Downloaded it from dell to the desktop to create disks but realized it doesn't have a floppy.  Time ran out before I could try to create my own cd.  I did manage to get the computer up and running again, but it only works for 5-10 mins before the same thing happens.  It is the strangest continuous beeping I have ever heard coming from a computer.  I checked the system logs for any type of overheating errors and found none.  Fans seem to be working. Not sure what else would set off that type of alarm.  WIll be back in the office in the AM.(EST) to try again.  Thanks for your help.
