Dell Studio XPS 435MT beep codes?

I'm getting some beep codes during POST for my Dell 435MT.  Is there a list of the codes anywhere?  Can't seem to find them.

Thanks!

sorry to bring up such an old thread. Does replacing the PSU fix the problem? I'm also having the same issue and currently only using the high performance power setting (doesn't have sleep mode enable). Thanks.

Just to note, I bought a used one (the same model the PC came with) and it worked great for exactly 6 months and then started doing the same thing as the old power supply. I then replaced it with a different model, Dynex DX-400WPS. It's only been a little over a month since then but so far no problems.

Yes, replacing the power supply fixed the problem.  Working great now.

Seems I'm not the only one with this garbage XPS machine.

Just replaced the HDD and upgraded to Win 7. (HDD was dieing (about 3 years of not-heavy use) and I was hoping it was also the reason it wasn't waking up fully from sleep.) But now it seems that I have to spend more $$ to replace the PSU because Dell cheaped out and put an underpowered unit in this.

I've never had this many problems with a desktop PC. And my wife's XPS laptop was another headache. I will never buy Dell again (already replaced my father's Dell with a different brand) - not that Dell reads any of this forum or really seems to care about their customers after the bill is paid.

Goodbye Dell. I'm sure you'll be fine while I keep limping this paperweight through a few more years.

I am also experiencing the two beep, sleep mode issue.  Hoping someone out there has found a solution to this problem.

MY Studio XPS 435MT hybernates during the night.  Then won't come out of sleep mode with mouse movement.  I must power down with the front panel on/off button.  Then power on.  The first time I re-power on I get a continual series of 2 beeps.  I must then power off a second time.  Then re-power on a second time.  The machine then lets me select "start windows normally" and leads me to the vista openining of the operating system.  Is this a power supply issue?

I replaced my power supply with this:

And have not had the problem again.

Dell installed cheap, underpowered power supplies to these PC and now we all need to replace them it seems. As I mentioned in my last post, I'm never buying Dell again.
