Studio XPS 16 (1640 System BIOS) A10 download ?

According to the dell download site the latest firmware for this laptop is A08:

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&ServiceTag=&SystemID=STUDIOXPS16&os=WLH&osl=en&catid=&impid=

but according to this discussion here:

http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=382939

There is an A10 available that fixes alot of colour problems.  Am I able to get ahold of a copy of the A10 BIOS ??

Thanks!

Odd. If the guy on nbr is saying he flashed to A10 from a CD, it was probably from a CD that ships kitted with a mobo replacement. Sometimes the factory cut in for a new BIOS rev is chronolgically before the new rev is web posted. Two seperate groups are responsible for those implementations. The funny part is that the version that apparently shipped on the CD is 2 rev's ahead of what's web posted. I am alerting the engineers responsible for web posting the new BIOS rev of the issue and checking to see if the CD alone is a shippable part. If I can dispatch it, I will get with you in PM for your service tag and ship to address, and overnight you one.

ok thanks - i'll PM you my service tag and also my address if you need to send me a CD - although it would be better if it was posted on the download site for everyone else

After the A10 BIOS flash, my touch sensitive eject button seems to no longer work.  Anyone else experience this?

No, mine works fine after the update, try unistalling and reinstally the Quickset application.

A10 is web posted. Sorry I could not get a shippable CD to you faster. I had a heck of a time with that. I had concurrent requests to make the CD part shippable and get A10 web posted. Looks like the engineers work faster than the procurement team. lol. J/K, procurement guys.
