One VLAN across two 2748
I currently have two 2748 PowerConnect switches in two buildings connected by fiber that's working great. I need to add a single port-based VLAN circuit to connect one server in one building to a single client on the second switch. I'm able to create a working VLAN that stays within one 2748, but I can't communicate over the fiber to the second switch. Here's what I've done:
On each switch, I created VLAN ID 2
Within VLAN 2, I selected port 10 and made it Untagged on each switch
In the VLAN interface settings I set each 10 to PVID 2 on each switch
When I look at the default VLAN 1, port 10 is blank. In VLAN 2 it's U, as expected
I can't ping across the switches. If I add a second port to VLAN 2 on one switch, I can ping across these ports.
What am I doing wrong? Shouldn't the VLAN span across the two switches?

You have to add vlan 2 as tagged on the fiber port.
