Dell Dimension C521 front panel pin out

The Dell front panel connections are Proprietary and undocumented.  Unless someone has traced out all the connections and posted it, you probably will have to do the same.  There are some connections that users have traced and documented but as the wiring can vary from one PC Model to another unless you can find a wiring diagram specifically for your model the others may not be the same.

I'll just have to keep browsing the forums might tinker with it myself since I have already have the power switch and power led traced.

I have seen, that you found the power switsch of the Dell Dimension C521 front panel. I could need this, too, because I have got the computer but not the Front Panel. So I can start it only by connecting the RTCRST and this reset the clock and just works one time after connecting.

Why?  What is the point of this?  I can not see any beneficial reason to make it proprietary besides just for the express reason to <ADMIN NOTE: Profanity removed as per TOU> .  I work at an e-waste plant.  Its my job to dismantle and reasemble computers that people have otherwise thrown away.  Alot of parts are re-usable for generic purposes.  And my biggest trouble of all the problems I face from broken hardware to buggy motherboards, dells proprietary designs is what ticks me off the most.  I have learnt patience in this job, but having to have 2 create a completely different system just because dell wants to be the special kid on the block.  Even most macs have the standard pinout design.... MACINTOSH!!  The product known for locking there products so you cannot buy from anyone but them.. 

Make my job easier and help the environment by publishing your pinouts.   Atleast give us your Power and reset ones.
