Latitude E6500 home network view other computers
I have 3each E6500 and a 3rd desktop side by side. They all have the same workgroup name. All are WIN XP
I can access the internet on all four machines (laptops wireless) (desk top wired). All are connected to the same linksys wireless router.
On this computer I can not see the other computers in"Micrfosoft Windows Network" On the other three computers I can see and share files. Windows Firewall is enabled on all three computers.
I have tried the network wizards,
Here the error I get when trying to find the other computers.
any ideas?

I also learned that if I disconnect the Internet from the router. the local home network works 5x5.
If I power down the router momentarly and re connect the internet Window explorer can see other computers.
If I try to map a network drive the interface widow stalls.
My guess its a security setting , I don't know were else to look.
Tommorrow I change router (Ihave an extra one) and try to reset the local home newwork.
new names, new ssid, and see what happens.

Solved:
1. Change your SSID on the router. . I changed the wireless password at the router first.
2. Change the workgroup NAME . only if your setting a home network
3 Then re establish the wireless link on the computer you had no problems with first.
4. then re establish the computer with the original problem.
