I have a deminsion 9150 and I sufferred some power outages due to rain when I was not home...needless to say that I did not have the computer protected with a power surge strip protector or have it on a back up power supply...when I get home my computer will not come on anymore...is this due to a now ruined power supply do to a power surge? (Also I lost a light two (2) fixtures and an alarm clock.
If i just replace to power supply will I be ok...when i say the computer will not come on anymore I mean I get nothing when I try and I have tried in other outlets where thing are presently working...please help!

Does the power supply fan run, when the 9150 is powered on?
Check the power button LED, is it solid green, blinking green, solid amber, blinking amber, or off?
What is the reading of Diagnostic Lights on the front panel?

I would start with the power supply but other components (RAM, CPU, etc.) might also be damaged. We will not know until the power supply is replaced.
