Foxit Reader 4.0 released

Many new features/add-ons outlined here:
http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/reader/addons.php

"New Features:

1.Added an advanced set of professional features
The New Reader 4.0 now includes Comments tools, Text Viewer & Text Converter, Form Filler, Spell Checker and Advanced Editing Tools; and it is still free. No additional licensing is required for more features with PDFs.

2.Enhanced Safe Mode Setting
Supports Safe Mode settings during installation, streamlining the workflow and offering better protection with PDF File.

Bug Fixes:
Fixed the crash issue when opening certain PDF documents."

Be sure to download the .msi installer- it is free of the unwanted "Foxit Toolbar". Despite reports in the past that this was installed anyways, I have never seen it do so over many version revisions. For those who only need a simple PDF reader, free of the bloat of Adobe Reader, and less of a target for malware writers, I can vouch for this program.

Joe53, have you used Foxit to replace Adobe Reader, or do you keep both on your computer?

Maryam, I uninstalled Adobe Reader over a year ago, as I didn't need all its features (or its risks). I realize some do need and use them, but I grew tired of the constant security updates, and the bloat.

Thanks, Joe, I just need a simple reader.  I think I'll just go ahead with my plan to uninstall Adobe.
