Inspiron 1545 cap lock use stops me typing my message. Need to resolve this.

Hi, I've been having this problem on my Inspiron 1545 and I cant take it anymore, It's very annoying. I have looked about and I know others have experienced this problem but I cant find a decent anwser to solve this. Whenever I type using firefox, word or anything for that matter, my cap locks doesnt work as its intended. If I type a sentence when I use the cap locks it will stop typing. The only way I can carry on typing is if I go to wherever it was i was typing and click back on it. This only works until I use caps locks again, its annoying as I have to keep pausing every sentence to click back where I wanted to write.

I would really appreciate a solution to this, Im 90% sure its a problem on the software side and not a broken button as the button itself functions perfectly. My laptop as that feature where a little cap lock logo comes up at the bottom right to show you have changed caps and im guessing that may be the sourse of the problem but I cant even find any settings to resolve the issue. Also If that is the problem and I have to disable it then thats a bit of a pain as ill have no indication of if im on capitals or not as there are not lights on the laptop. Thanks in advance for any help.

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, wernt sure which section to post this.

I found this in another post in Dell under "Software & Operating Systems"

"Do you have Dell Quickset installed on your system? Have you looked in there for a setting to disable the notification?

EDIT: According to this thread, it is definitely a QuickSet issue... They solved it by uninstalling QuickSet, but there may be a setting in QuickSet to disable the notification...

forum.notebookreview.com/.../253825-capslock-notification.html

"It is recommended if you want to see volume changes screen brightness etc otherwise not really"

Hope this helps.,..
