Studio XPS 1645 problem fixed

I am using the 130w power adaptor and it seems to have solved the hardlock problem.

I installed Cyberlink PowerDVD 9 Ultra and it is working playing bluray DVDs.  Even has mouse support.  I haven't tried to burn a bluray disc as I do not have a blank disc yet.

I installed the bios firmware update, a firmware update to the bluetooth adaptor, a firmware update to the touchpad, and an update for the video adaptor.

I was sent a link to the bios update by Dell and found the other updates on the Dell site.

I went into the control panel device manager and looked for the current version on each of the devices and compared that to what is listed as available for download on the Dell site.

When installing Cyberlink PowerDVD 9, I did need to do RUN ● MSCONFIG and under the STARTUP TAB find Power DVD RD service and remove it (uncheck) from the list.  That was to let the installer do an online update to the software.

I tried the 130w power adaptor on another computer and so far that has seemed to correct the hardlock problem.

I installed the Cyberlink PowerDVD 9 Ultra on another computer and it also worked.

I believe that most of my problems have been corrected.  I will keep working as before and see if anything else arises.

I appreciate your helping me and sending the materials to get this computer working as it should.  I really like my Dell XPS 16.  If Dell can take the time to bench test each unit before it is shipped to rectify any problems, I believe that Dell can become a top player in the market.  I know I will now tell others about my great Dell computer; however, I will caution others to be sure that their system (s) are verified to be in top shape before accepting.

I installed the bios firmware update, a firmware update to the bluetooth adaptor, a firmware update to the touchpad, and an update for the video adaptor.

Could you provide the latest version numbers you have got please?

My Studio XPS 1645 got freezing problem, some error message (BTTray: ERROR: Unable to start the Bluetooth stack service) pops up soon after booting the laptop about bluetooth, overheating, a noise from the DVD-BD drive at the time of switching on the laptop.
