Is a RT7D00 PS2 Dell keyboard USB Compatible?
My USB keyboard for my Inspiron 530 is no longer usable.
A friend has given me a PS2 RT7D00 keyboard and I have a PS2--> USB adapter.
Have plugged it all in but not working. I do get a power light on the keyboard but it doesn't type.
Does anyone know if the RT7D00 is USB compatible.

PS2 to USB adaptors are know to be problematic, for more info, go HERE
It may cost less to buy another USB keyboard.
