Alienware m15x randomly wont boot ubuntu

I put ubuntu 10.04 on my alienware, and randomly (like 30% of the time) it goes to the ubuntu boot screen and doesn't go past it.  I reboot the computer and then it loads through OK.  Its fairly annoying.
