Inspiron 1545 Goes to Black Screen with Blinking Cursor after Logo

 Hello everyone, I've had my dell inspiron 1545 laptop with vista for about a year now and the problem isn't becasue the harddrive died or a part went bad. I have this problem because earlier, a fake antivirus program installed itself to my computer and then it shut down all of my programs so the first thing I did was shut down my computer.

When I start the computer back up, I see the dell logo as usual and then a black screen with a blinking white cursor appears and it remains like that permanently.

Here's what I tried, I did quite a bit of research: I tried all these options while the screen was still on the logo since that's as far as I can get.

I tried F2 and F12 which allow me to run diagnosis and a lot of other neat options in the BIOS Setup, I tried them all and I still ended up with the same problem. So i turned them all back to defaults.

I tried F8 but that did nothing.

I tried Right Ctrl+F11 and Left Ctrl+F11 but that did nothing.

I tried taking out my battery then holding the power button for 30 seconds and then reattached it and tried again but that didn't work.

So I've done all of the above countless times and it seems only the F2 and F12 button works but they don't help me solve the problem.

Anyone have any advice on this? All my laptop parts aren't broken, this only happened cause a virus installed itself on my laptop.
