v715W stopped printing in color
After printing fine with black and color ink, my v715w suddenly stopped printing in color. I reinstalled the cartridges, tried cleaning and aligning, uninstalled/reinstalled the printer and nothing seems to work. I checked the printer preferences and color/black is selection is set to automatic. Copies are printed without color, also, so it is not just the printing function.
Help! The printer is just over a year old...
Any help is appreciated!

steve605,
My suspicions are that the Dell Series 24 cartridge may have dried out. Can you copy a document under the glass? B&W and color?
You tried...
Cleaning the Printhead on Dell AIO V313w, V515w, V715w, P513w, and P713W Printers
Did you try shaking the color cartridge before reseating it?
Your printer preferences should be...

Thanks for your quick response.
I tried shaking the cartridge (a little too hard and ink went everywhere) and it did not help. I replaced the cartridge with a new one and no change.
When I copy on the glass in color, the copy comes out in black and white, only.
My printing preferences is set correctly, "using all available ink".

steve605,
I suspect a faulty Dell Series 24 color cartridge. I would take it to place of purchase for a replacement. If under warranty, contact Dell.

I am speaking with a Dell technichian, now. The printer is no longer under warranty, and he suggests it is a mechanical issue with the print-head. He gave me the choice of buying a new printer, or...buying a new printer. This has been a costly printer, considering I have printed less than 1,500 pages! Not happy...

tr20sp,
Waiting for Steve to get back to me. Did you try...
Cleaning the Printhead on Dell AIO V313w, V515w, V715w, P513w, and P713W Printers
and
Troubleshooting Printhead Problems on the Dell AIO V313w, V515w, V715w, P513w, and P713W Printers
I wiped the printhead with a lint free cloth. The coffee filter worked great. Also shake the cartridge before reseating it. I had a color Dell 24 series color cartridge fail on me.

This happened to me too. The printer is just a few months old. Very aggravating. Can't fix.

I think DELL should offer everyone on this forum a new printer on this issue with Dell V715W a new printer. I'm angry. I've justed wasted hours trying to solve this problem.

I'm having the same problem. This is too coincidental for it to all stop about the same time.
