Update C640 BIOS to A10

My folks C640 was acting up, so I am trying to update the BIOS. It has A09 on it. I downloaded A10 to a floppy from the Dell help & Support Downloads, only to find out the C640 doesn't boot from a USB floppy drive.

I burned the A10 update to a CD from the floppy, but can't get the machine to boot from the CD with the F12 command. When I select boot from CD/DVD it boots normally into Windows? How do I install the update if it will not boot from a CD?

Apparently you don't read instructions.

Apparently there's something wrong with the instructions.

Yes, I read the instruction and when I opened the file from my desk top it asks for a floppy disk in the A drive. My original question still stands. How do you install the update if the machine will not boot from a USB floppy or the CD?

Apparently, you don't realize there are two different files for BIOS updates.
