How does one remove the cosmetic panels from an Optiplex GX620?
Hello.
How does one remove the cosmetic panels from an Optiplex GX620? They physically buzz, and even it this weren't an audio recording environment I wouldn't like it.
I had been clamping the sides and weighing the top but I'd like to just remove the skins if I can. Can you tell me how to do it?
Thank you.

Yes, The access panel has pretty free access but all the other clips are behind framework and components (like the motherboard and stuff). I don't feel qualified to completely disassemble the machine without some kind of instructions, either for my situation or generalized....

The GX260 has different chassis but in looking at the Manual for the Desktop version, I do not see a way to remove the cosmetic panels? Have you opened the case and looked on the inside of the case to see if the cosmetic panels clips go all the way through?

Some parts are not designed to be removed from the case.
The motherboard has quite a few pieces of hardware.

Place the system board assembly that you just removed next to the replacement system board to ensure it is identical.
