I5 N5010 left in PXE Rom mode
Have I5 N5010 2.4 laptop that I sent in for heating problems in July. It is now going to PXE ROM mode before booting up. This is the prompt I get DHCP. . . _ then it goes to exiting PXE ROM. How do I get out of this? My computer is now out of warranty, so I need to do this myself.
Thank you
Glenda

Check the BIOS setup (F2 at powerup) to see if the hard drive is detected. If it's not, remove and reinstall it (it's not easy to do this -- see below). If reseating the drive doesn't get the drive detected, it's toast and will need to be replaced.
If you can see the drive, power up, press F12, boot to the Dell diagnostics and run an extended test of the hard drive.
