Replacing A Failing Drive in a PowerEdge 1850
I have a drive that is in predictive failure and a replacement waiting to be installed. When replacing the drive in a PowerEdge 1850 running RAID 1, should you put the drive to be replaced in Offline mode through OpenManage or just remove the failing drive?

That is correct. It should be under that Physical disks drop down.

FSAdmin,
You will need to force the drive OFFLINE before replacing, otherwise you risk transferring the bad blocks that triggered the Predicted Failure to the replacement drive.

How do you 'force' the drive Offline? Choose "Offline" from "Available Tasks" and "Execute"?
