Dell Inspiron M5010 startup Problem
My dell inspiron M5010 start creating a problem for some reason.. when i shutdown or restart it.. it stop at starup screen , No Logo Shows, Screen colour is not black. its normal grey as ususal. but there is no logo.. then i power it off and power on again. some time i put battery out and then restart it directly from AC power i dont know how but after some 5 to 10 tries.. suddenly laptop start working.. in a way like it show grey screen as usual and after some wait it start showing dell logo and continue to work normal. also i seen my laptop start heating a bit.. its 2 year old.. i never opened it for service or cleaning etc just used blower externaly.
Note: my laptop never shut down or restart itself while wokring.. this problem occurs only if i shutdown or restart it

Hi scorpiono1,
Welcome to the Community,
Start by running the hardware diagnostics,tap F12 on start up,select diagnostics.
Post back error code/message if any.
So does the problem only occur when you start the system with battery connected?

Thanks for reply.. well i tried hardware diagnostics before but could not find any error. yea it happens always regardless i start with battery power or AC power. once again i wil try diagnostics as you said. will post back again if i found any error.

If you don't get any error on Diagnostics,try to download and update the BIOS using the link below :
www.dell.com/.../inspiron-15-m5010
