Backlit not seen by studio 1555 after backup windows 7 was installed
hey there ive posted about this twice now my dell studio 1555 does not see the backlit keyboard i custom installed about a week ago so thinking it was my operaiting system i reinstalled widows 7 64-bit from my backup disc that was with my laptop when i got it but no luck it has lit up a few time on start up but still windows does not see that its there i would like alot of ideas of what i can do to make this work

Hi
Try pressing FN+F6 to turn backlit keyboard on/off. In case if it’s not working please try to install quickset software from the below mentioned link:

Also, I would suggest you to open the keyboard and check for back lit keyboard cable, make sure it’s properly plugged in.

It seems to be an issue with the keyboard, so I would suggest you to replace the keyboard.

hmmmm i spose it could be im going to buy another one soon if this still happens im buying another motherboard
