Cannot enter BIOS
Hi Guys,
I have a Dell Studio XPS 13 (1340) and when i switch it on the power lights etc come on and the screen is blank. After a while it shows the Windows desktop and the laptop is ready to use but I cannot see the DELL logo at start up or am I able to get into BIOS. However when I plug the laptop to an external monitor it displays the LOGO properly and I am able to get into BIOS. Could someone please let me know what is wrong with the laptop please.

Hi nuwan72,
Welcome to the Community.
I would suggest you to load BIOS default and check if it fixes the issue.
If the issue persists, switch the display to the laptop screen while the laptop is connected to the external monitor and then unplug the monitor. Restart the system and check if the issue persists.

NOTE: Ensure that the battery is more than 30% charged and the adapter is connected during the BIOS update.
