Dell XPS 15z Chrome Trim

I bought a Dell XPS 15z back in July 2011. It is refurbished and the warranty has expired. Over the past 5 months or so, the Chrome Trim on my laptop has came loose, began to peel, and has rusted. I do not drop my computer and did not spill any liquids on it. I realize I may have to pay, but is there a way to replace the Chrome Trim? Everything else works fantastic but the trim scratches my clothing and cuts me.

Hi wertjr,

I believe you are referring to the chrome around the palm rest as shown in the picture below:

If so, the chrome is not available seperately and you would need to get the piece (palm rest) replaced as it is not available seperately. The part # is 0XN7R. You may get in touch with the sales department of your region to purchase it.
Note: The part # may vary from one region to another.

Go to www.support.dell.com
Select the country/region from the top, scroll down and click on 'Contact Dell Sales' to get the contact information.
