How To Improve the battery life

I bought a  DELL INSPIRON 15 SE 7520

It is a 3rd gen i5 with 4gb ram... I faced some issues while installing a physicX engine, so i had to reinstall my system.
but now my battery backup has reduced from 4 hrs to 2 hrs.... is this the problem due to reinstalling my system??

Hi EbeyEbenezer,

The battery is designed to stop using the charger when it reaches full charge. Please refer to ‘Laptop Battery FAQ’s’ : http://dell.to/w0gepP .

You can visit the link for more tips on extending the battery life:  http://dell.to/zcpCLV

I would also recommend you to update the BIOS for your computer. Here is the link: http://dell.to/TJ8o3x

Note: Before updating BIOS please ensure that:
*Battery is 10%> or >10% charged
*Battery charger should be connected
*No external devices (flash drives, printers, external hard drives) should be connected.
*All other programs should be closed and documents saved

Please reply if you have any questions.

Chipset and Dell Quickset and AMT management engine should always be first.

All batteries lose life over time whether they are used or not.

Keeping the battery in the laptop all the time charging wears them out faster.

Store batteries at 50 to 80 percent charged (not in the laptop) and float charge them once a month.

Keep in a COOL dry place as heat kills them faster.
