Reset iDRAC Web GUI on M600

Hi,

I'm having issues accessing the iDRAC web gui on a couple of M600 blades (needed to get console and re-install the OS).

I've read on Google that running racadm racreset may fix the issue, but this appear to only be available on m610's?

When I ssh into the M600 blade I'm given a SMASH-CLP Console (v1.08) prompt and can't find anything related to actually resetting the idrac interface itself.

Is this even possible on an M600?  How else can we reset the iDRAC interface?  It's basically not responding on port 80 - unlike our other blades, also M600s.

Many thanks in advance for any pointers or direction.

Thanks,

Rob

Rob,

           One option to rest iDRAC on M600 is through CMC. You can login to CMC and perform iDRAC reset from "Chassis Overview -> Troubleshooting -> Reset Components" page. Select iDRAC Reset option for the respective slot. You can also do this from CMC Racadm. Run the command "racadm racreset -m server- " from SSH or using remote racadm and CMC IP.

What iDRAC firmware you have it on M600? 1.65 is latest FW for iDRAC in M600. If you don't have this FW on iDRAC can you update and check the same. You can download the same from

I've downloaded a "local" copy of racadm and even that can't connect to the blade...

$ racadm -r -u root -p calvin getsysinfo

This simply hangs.

On some other M600's I get an error of "ERROR: Unable to connect to RAC at specified IP address.", but it works fine on some M610's we have.

Thanks Shine,

Found the option to perform a "virtual reseat" on that page which worked perfectly.
