Dell Poweredge R720 battery

Hello,

Our server administrator manager constantly shows warning on PERCH710 integrated controller battery with warning state for one of the new Dell R720 servers. It shows this warning about 3 weeks already. Does it mean that battery is dead and we should replace it?

Thanks

Good morning.  What is the exact error message from the controller log? Can you post that for review?

Regards,

Hello,

Unfortunately I cannot find any battery related messages in the log provided by server administrator interface (except "charging" messages. Could you please give me some directions regarding where I can find this controller specific log you're talking about? Maybe I should install another Dell diagnostic utility?

Thanks,

Nikolay

Using OpenManage, you can extract the controller log and it will list all the details of the battery charging incidents.
