finding DVD player on my Dell Inspiron Windows 8
I cannot find how to play a DVD on my Dell Inspiron laptop. I am used to Windows 7 and the new OS is not explicit about how to do this. Can anyone help?
Thanks
Peter

Hi Peter,
Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro don't come with DVD movie playback capability. You can use PowerDVD, if you had opted for Cyberlink Media Suite Essentials at the point of sale. You can check the "System Configuration" by punching in the Service Tag by visiting the link provided below:

You will need to purchase the Windows Media Center Pack or download a free codec pack for playing DVD's if, Cyberlink Media Suite Essentials is not configured.
Please let me know if you need further assistance.

The Cyberlink Media Suite player stalls every time I try to play a DVD - it seems to be failing. How can I have it repaired?
