Video card Temperature sensor

I have recieved my new laptop Inspiron 15R SE, but there is a small concern

When I run the Diagnostic tool (from startup boot menu), I noticed two thermal sensors one for CPU and it works fine, the other for Video card I think and this sensor is always giving a constant reading only 2 degrees Celsius

any one can help me please?

thank you

Hi

Inspiron laptops have a combined heatsink for both CPU and GPU, so it will display temperature of only one chip.

Furthermore, during pre-boot diagnostics, the GPU is not fully utilized. only the connections and basic 3D capabilities are checked, so the thermal sensor doesnt sense much change.

Also, AMD GPUs dont always come with thermal sensors.

To check further, you may use applications like CPU-Z, GPU-Z, or MSI Afterburner to check for real-time CPU/GPU temperatures while the windows and all programs are running.

hope this helps.
