No audio when inserting using headphones.
Hi ,
I have a Dell Inspiron N3010 laptop running Windows7.
Audio works just fine with the speakers, however when I insert the headphone jack I hear no sound with the headphone. (The speakers do mute as expected.)
I tried 3 different headphones, I don't believe the problem is with them.
Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Hi Tzachi,
Please do check the audio device selected as ejn63 has mentioned. Also, try updating the audio drivers and check the functionality. Here are the steps:
Check if the issue is resolved or not. If the issue still persists, update the system BIOS. Here are the steps:
Note: Make sure the ac adapter is connected and the battery is charged 10% or above to update the BIOS. Also, disconnect all the external peripherals before updating the BIOS. All the programs should be closed and documents saved.
Hope this helps. Please reply if you have any questions.

Check to see which audio device is selected (control panel, hardware and sound, sound, manage audio devices)

Thank you!
Reinstalling the Bios did the trick!

I have the exact same problem,
I'm running the latest drivers and bios, also tried to re-install the drivers multiple times without any success.
Everything used to work fine and suddenly there is no audio when something is connected to the headphones jack (both headphones and speakers).
If I boot to Ubuntu, everything is working just fine, the problem is only with Windows 7.
