U3014 Rev A03 OUT?

Please can anyone from Dell confirm that the Dell U3014 Rev A03 monitor is out? If so I was told by someone from Dell Kiran K that wait for the Rev A03 monitor as my current one has horizontal lines problems plus one said being dimmer then the other. I was sent out monitors but same problem so held on to my current one till the Rev A03 came out. I did contact Kiran K but no answer been over 3 weeks so that's the reason posting here so if someone from Dell can please help me with this would really appreciate it Thanks.

Honestly I don't think you can. From Chris-M's other posts, the earliest you might be able to buy a new U3014 Rev A03 would be at the end of this month. I think if you tried to buy a refurbished one you might get a A03. I am still on hold with my support ticket, according to my CS rep, they wouldn't be able to guarantee me an exchange for a Rev A03 monitor till the earliest the end of this month (but I am guessing most likely later than that).

I really don't think you can request to buy a new A03 revision of the monitor, from what I understand of the process, a request goes to the dispatch section, then the best they sales person can do is put a note in the order to ship an A03 revision. If the dispatcher reads this and can't find it, I think they just ship out what they have to fulfill the order. When I talked with my support guy last, he told me they had them and was going to ship me one, then he called me back later that evening telling me he had to cancel it because he couldn't guarantee me the revision I needed. So maybe a customer support agent can check on what is going to ship, but not necessarily request it.

I do not think it is possible to specify A03 when ordering.

well well well....funny discussion now on going here again huh?

Guys, let me tell you my opinion to align the direction that

the man Chris M absolutely can check the infomation since he is one of insider and seem that work for the company for more then 10 yrs.

But under given circumstances he have no duty to check since all matter connected to company sales revenue and strategics.

So, keep asking is that no more meaning. He would only say that which allow to be exposed for public.

And my assumption(or daydream) is that,

Seem that Dell in old revision flushing phase for Dell itself and retail shop which you can see on Amazon at least.

If most of old version flushed out,

dell would ship out new one since this is a company who need to earn revenue which is normal process and usual.

What I want to say is that

The man who encounting us will not say internal inform

and we need to painfully wait for the day.

How you guys think?

I wouldn't risk ordering from Dell unless they have it in writing, specifying A03, so when they end up sending a A01/02 you can claim DOA/wrong item.

Evrae, what you got is a refurb monitor with an A03 sticker on top of the original monitor revision. New A03 monitors are not released yet.

I do not think it is possible to specify A03 when ordering.

Wait, what?!?!?!

Please tell me then how I can purchase a A03 monitor then?  Wait a year from now until ordering?  :emotion-7:

I thought ordering direct from Dell was the solution.  Now I need a Dell insider to ensure a current functional version of hardware is shipped to fulfill my order?  Purchasing a fully functional premium priced monitor shouldn't be this convoluted...

You are correct that is has A03 firmware, but the point is that Dell is not selling brand new A03 monitors yet. You can only get an A03 through an exchange which gives you a refurbished monitor.

Ahaaa I get your point. So it seems that everyone can ask for a exchange and get the A03 now. Since it's possible to get that exchange it shouldn't be long before it comes available to purchase.

It's coming directly from Dell and I can assure you it's A03. And besides my replacement from A01-A02 had the same sticker on back of it .

On top of that: I have been getting updates regularly on when A03 was coming so I could get a replacement, from a supporter from Dell.

Thank you @Evrae for your update, much appreciated!

I'm on hold with Dell support right now getting support case created.
@Dell-Chris M - Is there a SKU or some other Dell ID that uniquely identifies the U3014 rev A03 monitors?  I've been talking to several groups within Dell and they are all struggling with how to identify a rev A03 U3014 so they can ship me the correct monitor version.

c1ph3r2u.

Neither support nor sales can "choose" a revision. According to our sales and parts pages...
Dell USA Sales site = SKU 225-4429, part P1V6N
Dell UK Sales Site = SKU 210-AAPI, part 54X3G

Hi, goodday.

@Chris M,

1. If purchase U3014 on 31th October or 1st November(both any) from Dell official website,

Will I get A03 100%? Can you make sure that for me? Please..

2. Any A04 plan?

(1) I guarantee it 100%.

(2) Pigs might fly when Dell fixes the backlight bleed.
