Need wireless card designed for the Dell 960 SFF and the correct antenna
Hello. I have a Dell 960 SFF. There is a wireless PCI-E card that is designed to work with the 960 SFF which has a slot on the motherboard just for that card. . I think it is the Dell 2VF2K Pci-E Wlan Card Assembly, but I'm not sure. There is an antenna to plug into it, but I can';t find the correct model number. I don't think the Dell TK208 GW073 WX492 RU297 antenna is correct since the jack looks wrong to plug into the 2VF2K.
So, is the Dell 2VF2K correct for the 960 SFF, and if so, what is the correct antenna?

If you've lost the antenna, it may be simpler to use a generic USB wireless adapter.
I haven't had any luck finding an antenna for my XPS 8500 and I'm not sure the 960 would be any different.

I need the card AND the antenna, but I'm not sure about any of the part numbers that are correct for the 960 SFF

the one on ebay is the Dell 2VF2K, which is the one I mention in my first post as being the one I think it is. I wanted a confirmation that it is the one since the dell 960 comes in 3 flavors. Let's say I'm 95% sure it is correct.
Now, assuming the Dell 2VF2K is correct for the 960 SFF , what is the correct antenna that connects to the jack?

I think the long wires are the antenna. At least it's that way with the XPS 8500.

I had a XPS 8300 that had a card like yours, and the small wire was the antenna, but with the Dell 2VF2K, the wire you see has a jack on the end of it. That female jack mounts on the rear panel near the USB ports, and accepts the male antenna portion that snaps into it. It might be that the wire that goes to the rear panel is sufficient in bringing in the signal just by itself. in some situations. Perhaps with the business class machines, they provide the external antenna for an added boost in office environments.
