Windows Server 2012 R2 HIT Kit

Does anyone know when a version of the HIT kit that's compatible with Windows Server 2012 R2 will be released?

RichardSkinner,

Being how R2 is so new I haven't heard any official news on a date that it will be released. I am sure it is on the road map but engineering has to do all the testing and developing to ensure everything works the way it should. I would recommend to just continue to check back every so often and if I hear anything I will let you know.

My Dell sources told me late Q1/2014. It has been a similar case last year with WS2012 - Dell should really hard work on releasing the HIT kit ASAP after OS launch. Other vendors can do it, Dell's own HW (12G servers for example) is ready and certified, only EQL is late (again). It is sad that our project to implement WS2012R2 will be pushed only because we use EQL storage and have to wait for official support.

Let's do quick calculation: 2012 R2 GA was 18th October, if my sources are correct, HIT will be released sometime around March, that is 5 MONTHS later.

I'll reserve my judgement until it's released, but I don't have high hopes.
