What is the difference?

Hello,

I have a question. I have an Inspiron 5521 laptop.

I want to know what is the difference between the Graphics drivers provided by Dell in driver download page and drivers provided by AMD and Intel on their own website?

And which is preferred to use?

Dell Video drivers and the INTEL HD drivers and AMD or NVIDIA are very tightly integrated.

If you download drivers not from Dell the system may stop seeing the Other GPU and think that it only has INTEL Graphics. On 64 bit versions of windows ANY driver that is not WHQL certified will not load and therefore will not work.

WHQL Certification is REQUIRED To run kernel-mode drivers on 64-bit versions of Windows Vista and later versions of Windows.
