Your problem is likely due to a problem with the usb port on them.
you can have it repaired here http://www.ebay.com/itm/221542976518
I have heard from some that Dell was not covering it because it was caused buy user error.IE usb charger inserted incorrectly. [:'(]
also MYdeviceRepair can use a micro b port stopping the problem because that port is the correct shape NOT SQUARE
Or, save the repair cost and have the tablet fixed by Dell itself under the tablet's still-valid original Dell warranty.i here they have fixed a few :emotion-5:

Dell fixed mine but I think it's running slower. They didn't install the same programs that came with it. Bye bye fresh paint.
Also, now its not charging to 100%. The last thing I want to do is sit on hold with tech support.

Hi,
You will need just remove the plastic cover and unplug battery slowly from the mainboard. And then after waiting one minutes and again place it back the battery and put on charger.
I hope this is the answer for your question

I certainly wouldn't tinker with it if Dell fixed it but did not do so. Call Dell back and make sure it's done completely and as needed--I'm sure Dell wants that as well.

This did not work for me. My Venue 8 Pro has not been holding its charge for very long prior to this happening so I'm probably facing a slightly different problem. Please help me. Thank you.

My understanding is that lithium ion batteries must not be overcharged and that in order to avoid this, the charging software is designed to stop charging when the battery is fully charged. s this correct?
