Hard Drive problem

My Inspiron n5110 will not boot up. When I run the Preboot system assessment I get an error code for the hard drive of 2000-0146, Validation 63825. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

First try removing and reinstalling the hard drive, to see if this makes a difference and if there's no difference, then the error message indicates the hard drive has failed and needs to be replaced.
 
If you have a Dell warranty in effect, contact Dell Tech, Support for the replacement HD.

Hi Emm... ,

2000-0146 error is a hard drive error. I would suggest you to back up the data from the system. I would suggest you to update the BIOS on the computer and then run the hardware diagnostics again. Please enter your service tag # on the link below, then download the BIOS required onto the system and install it.
