Dell Inspiron 1750 keyboard not working

Hello community!

I have a problem with my dell laptop. The keyboard got spilled some coke over it I believe. After that it stopped working and only pressed the / key, as it was stuck. I've ordered a new one, and i've put it in the laptop. The problem with the new one is that only the half of the keys are only working. As example A S D F ZXCVBNM, the enter button. ' works though. The other ones are okay too, except for the few keys in the numpad. So there are working areas and non working areas.

Please troubleshoot with me. :)

Thanks in advance,

Thomas

Hi r6turboextreme,

This seems like an issue with the keyboard port or the motherboard, since the keyboard was replaced. Depending on the warranty status we can help you further, please use the link below to check the warranty status.
