Dell Streak 7 - Should never been sold - Product should have been recalled

I purchased the 2 Dell Streak 7 in March 2012 as a gift to my God daughter and best friend. I had read the reviews but couldn't believe that they could be so bad. From the start this tablet would freeze and navigation was near to impossible. The battery only lasts for 1-2 hours and will drain without having to recharge it and unusuable. I had to hard reset this tablet many times and finally it just quit and would not restart anymore. I sent it back a few months later. Since I purchased a 2 year warranty on both tablets ($79 ea), Dell sent me a new one instead of fixing it. It is now 1-1/2 years later both tablets are having the same symptoms and I am still under warranty and have contacted Dell, they are standing by their warranty.

I believe they should have recalled this item and replaced them with ones that work, different models even other similar tablets would be better then these. I know that they will send me new Streak 7's until the warranty is up and I am unable to send them back. Again Dell should have never continued on selling these once they knew that these tablets were unusuable. Quality instead of Quantity should be their moto and this should be rectified by sending another product not the Streak 7. Please recall this item unless you can prove that the life of the battery and freezing problem has been fixed. This was a gift and it is most embarrasing to have to send it back so many times.

I have been a Dell proponent for many years now! My first laptop was an Acer with Vista, I purchased it in 2007 and I still have it and is useable. 3 years got a used Dell Inspiron laptop from Craigslist, It was already 3 years old.  It still works today. I say this because I want to prove to Dell that I take care and of my electronic products. I am by no means an expert on computer electronics but I am computer savy. I loved it so much that I have bought 2 other Dell laptops since an i5 windows 7 and an i7 windows 8.  These are my favorites. Dell support has been great. I have not since been dissappointed with their service for their laptops.

Seriously Dell...please don't sell products that you know won't work!

Same problems here. My DS7 used to reboot itself  or freeze.

It's almost one year now that I can't charge the tablet. If you search this forum you will find a lot of posts regarding 'dell streak 7 won't charge' issue.

Ty for this I thought I was the only one!!!!   This has been a terrible product and because of the issues I have endured  I WONT purchase another tablet.  They wont even attempt to repair!!  They don't even have a Tech employed that has the knowledge for repairs.  CONSUMER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
